Pastor's Corner
If you are not a Christian, but you are interested in learning what a Christian is and how to become one, please read our What Is a Christian? page, too.Pastor Mike's Welcome We truly are "the little church with a big heart!" When you're here, you're part of our family. We'll welcome you with open arms and make you feel like you've always belonged here. Just come see us and find out for yourself! Whether you like a traditional style of worship, which meets at 8:30 a.m., or a more contemporary, praise and worship style, which meets at 10:30 a.m., we have both to offer you. Check 'em both out and see which one you prefer! Between the two services, at 9:30 a.m., we offer a powerful Sunday School program for all ages, with four adult classes to choose from, plus a youth class for both junior high and senior high, and three children's classes: Primary, Bible Bears, and Jesus' Kids. There's bound to be a class for every member of your family. We also meet on Sundays at 6:00 p.m. for an informal time of singing and a vesper message -- sometimes, you even get to request your favorite hymn! -- and we offer an adult Bible study on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. Come, join us, and deepen your Bible knowledge and faith! During Sunday morning services, we offer a nursery for infants through three years old and a children's church during the second half of the 10:30 a.m. service. The youth also attend worship on Sundays at 6:00 p.m., and they meet for study and recreation on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. If you love to sing or play a musical instrument for Jesus, you're invited to join our beautiful Choir or Praise Band under the capable leadership of Mr. Bill Wade. You'll have fun singing and/or playing the muscial instrument of your choice for the glory of God. Praise Band practice meets each Sunday at 5:00 p.m., and Choir practice meets each Sunday evening immediately following the vesper service. This really only scratches the surface, because we have so many other incidental fellowship activities, like potlucks and other get-togethers, and even a softball team, so just drop in on us one Sunday and check us out. You'll be glad you did! If you have additional questions, feel free to call our church office at 251-964-5988 between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or email me at mike.white@rosintonumc.com anytime. I look forward to meeting you in person when you come! Take care, and may God bless you!
